The IC Instructor Experience, by Audra

We asked Founding Instructor, Audra, what she loves most about flipping on the mic and clipping in from the podium.

THE A-HA MOMENTS

I still remember the very first spin class I ever took.  I was completely overwhelmed, had no idea what I was doing and couldn't keep up at all. But as soon as it was over I knew I wanted to do it again!  Spinning was a challenge that I wanted to figure out and get better at. Now that I’m on the podium I love recognizing those same moments in my riders.  From the first-time rider with the “I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m loving it” look on their face, to the rider with a few classes under their belt catching that double time beat like a champ when it all clicks.

THE TEAM

Ignite people are the best people! We have so much fun together and truly support one another through everything.  I have loved getting to know this group of people - we are all very different and bring our own unique attributes to the table and that’s what makes us all better.

THE BEATS

Music is a huge part of what we do at Ignite and it’s always been a big part of my life.  Growing up as a dancer I always felt a deep connection to music and have always found songs as a way to express and process emotions.  I spend a lot of time listening to music and being an instructor gives me the opportunity to really explore how music can set the mood and take our riders on a journey.  Nothing makes me happier than seeing someone getting super into the music during class!

THE VIBES

No matter how good or bad my day was I always feel better when I walk out of Ignite.  There’s something so special about the connection to ourselves and each other that happens in The Bike Room that I honestly can’t put it into words.
