Childcare Policies

Ignite Cycle

            The following policies shall apply to childcare services provided by Ignite Cycle. Childcare services are provided (at a rate of $10/session). Such childcare services are subject to Ignite Cycle’s waiver and terms of service incorporated by reference to these policies. These policies are subject to change at any time, in Ignite Cycle’s sole discretion.

Ignite Members:

·      Childcare services are only available to Ignite Cycle Members or registered guests of Ignite Cycle.

·      The parent or authorized adult must remain in Ignite Cycle while the child is checked in to the child center.

·      Childcare services are available to children ages 6 months to 10 years old.

·      One hour of childcare is available for each day/per child.

·      Government issued photo identification is required upon checking in and checking out a child.

·      Any person picking up a child must either be on the account of the child as the parent or authorized adult.

·      Either the parent, or authorized adult on the account may check in and out the child.

·      Unless provided to Ignite Cycle in writing, no secondary person may pick up a child.

Policies and Procedures:

·      Ignite Cycle is not licensed and operates as an exempt Child Care Center.

·      Ignite Cycle is not equipped to provide 1-on-1 care for any child of any age.

·      All children must be checked in ten (10) minutes prior to any scheduled class.

·      All children must be checked out within five (5) minutes of the conclusion of any scheduled class.

·      If childcare services reach maximum capacity, Ignite Cycle may, in its sole discretion, deny access to childcare services for that specific class.

·      Parents and authorized adults must abide by the Sick Children policy to ensure the health and protection of other Members and their children.

·      No medicine, vitamins or drugs are permitted in the Child Center. In the event a child requires life-saving medical devices (i.e. epi-pen, inhaler, etc.) or a child has a life-threatening allergy parents and authorized shall provide notice to Ignite Cycle in writing.

·      Any life-saving medical devices shall be left and stored at the main check-in counter of Ignite Cycle.

·      Children’s play during the childcare services is at your own risk. If you would like your child to not participate in any activities, you must notify Ignite Cycle in writing at check-in.

·      Ignite Cycle reserves the right to remove or suspend children perceived as an endangerment to themselves or others.

·      Ignite Cycle provides processes a criminal background check on all employees providing childcare services.

·      For the health and safety of children and employees of Ignite Cycle, parents or authorized adults are responsible for changing their child’s diapers.

·      No food, drinks, candy, gum, or toys from home are allowed during childcare services.

·      Personal electronic devices are not permitted during the provision of childcare services.

·      Ignite Cycle is not responsible for lost or stolen items.

·      Parents or authorized adults will be alerted and removed from their scheduled class if a crying child can’t be comforted after 10 minutes.

·      Ignite Cycle reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or revoke childcare privileges from any person who fails to comply with these policies and procedures as amended.

Sick Children Policy:

Children exhibiting any conditions or behaviors determined by Ignite Cycle to be an illness will be excluded from childcare services. If the child becomes sick while during the childcare services, the parent or authorized adult will be alerted and removed from their scheduled class. Sick children must be removed immediately.

The following conditions or behaviors precludes a child from participating in childcare services at Ignite Cycle. By checking a child into childcare services, the parent or authorized guardian warrants the child is not suffering from any of the following:

·      An illness, bacterial infection, viral infection, or other condition that a physician determines is infectious or a risk to others;

·      Chicken pox;

·      Vomited within the last twenty-four (24) hours;

·      Abnormally loose stools;

·      Contagious conjunctivitis (pink eye);

·      Unexplained lethargy

·      Lice, ringworm, or scabies;

·      A fever of 99 degree Fahrenheit or higher;

·      An undiagnosed rash;

·      Respiratory illness (coughing); or

·      Runny nose.

If in the opinion of Ignite Cycle, your child would be at risk or a risk to others, you will be denied access to the childcare services until you furnish Ignite Cycle with an opinion letter from your medical doctor, at your sole cost and expense, specifically addressing Ignite Cycle’s concerns, and stating that Ignite Cycle’s concerns are unfounded.

Discipline Policy:

            Ignite Cycle may discipline your child by placing them in time-out or excluding them from certain activities during the childcare services. In the event a child is unruly or can not be calmed down without additional discipline, Ignite Cycle will remove the parent or authorized person from their scheduled class. Any parent or authorized person removed from a class will not be permitted to reenter that class and will not receive any refund from such class. In the event a child is required to be removed from childcare services, the following disciplinary policy shall be in effect.

·      1st Disciplinary Action - Suspension of childcare services for 1 week

·      2nd Disciplinary Action - Suspension of childcare services for 2 weeks

·      3rd Disciplinary Action - Suspension of childcare services for 1 month

·      4th Disciplinary Action - Permanent suspension from childcare services

Ignite Cycle reserves to right to permanently suspend a child from childcare services in the event of serious behavioral issues (i.e. intentionally hurting another child, bullying, etc.)

Pick-Up Policy:

The parent or authorized adult must remain on site at all times. Failure to comply with these policies may result in termination of childcare privileges. The following policies apply to late pick up.

If a parent or authorized adult is more than 3 minutes late picking up their child, the following applies within a three (3) month time frame:

·      1st Late - Warning and late charge of $2/minute

·      2nd Late - Suspension of childcare services for 1 week and late charge of $2/minute

·      3rd Late - Suspension of childcare services for 1 month and late charge of $2/minute

·      4th Late - Permanent suspension from childcare services
